About

About Me

My name is Weikang Meng. My friends call me Waken.
I’m a backend engineer and co-founder with ten years of experience in system design and large-scale backend development. My work focuses on building high-performance, distributed services that are stable, maintainable, and scalable.

I’m currently pursuing an MBA in Finance at Indiana State University’s Scott College of Business, where I’m combining my technical background with a deep understanding of business and finance. My goal is to design and lead projects that bridge engineering and strategy — turning data and systems into decisions that create real value.

Professional Experience

2023 – Present
I helped design and scale an AI-driven platform powered by large language models, which reached over two million users within two years. I led development across system architecture, AI agent deployment, and product integration, enabling fast iterations and a reliable backend that supported rapid growth.

Guangzhou Moblin Technology — Co-founder & VP of Engineering
2017 – 2023
Led the development of high-traffic platforms serving over five million users. My role covered architecture planning, DevOps, client communication, and project management. Working in a startup setting taught me how to balance stability with innovation and how small teams can deliver enterprise-level products through focus and trust.

Beijing Binke Technology — Project Manager & Engineer
2016 – 2017
Managed and built backend services for a mobile app that reached over half a million users within a month of launch. Oversaw project execution and coordinated a small engineering team.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Technology
Top-ranked engineering university in China. Worked as a research assistant on a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) system and served as Head of the Student Union’s Publicity Department.

Values and Interests

I approach my work with patience and clarity — I believe that strong systems, like strong teams, are built through consistency and understanding. I value honesty, craftsmanship, and learning that lasts longer than the latest framework.

Outside of work, I enjoy early mornings, table tennis, hiking, and traveling. These activities help me stay balanced, focused, and curious — traits I try to carry into both my work and relationships.
